How PracticeFlow compares
One platform, instead of a policy portal plus a team hub plus a spreadsheet
There are good tools already serving UK primary care. This page sets out, as fairly as we can, where PracticeFlow sits alongside two of the better-known ones: Practice Index PLUS and TeamNet from Agilio Software.
This comparison reflects publicly available information about each product at the time of writing. Vendors update their offerings regularly, so we'd always encourage you to confirm current features directly with them as well.
Practice Index PLUS
A membership-style support package for practice managers, built around policy and procedure libraries, an HR advice line, training courses and a supplier directory. Strong for guidance and community, but it's a support resource rather than a system of record — it doesn't hold your live compliance data or track task status for you.
TeamNet (Agilio Software)
A team hub covering compliance and policy management, internal communication, and HR and appraisal records for GP practices and neighbourhood teams, with optional training and clinical supervision add-ons. It's a genuinely strong communication and document hub, built by a team with deep primary care experience.
PracticeFlow
A single dashboard covering CQC readiness, quality improvement, health & safety, complaints & significant events, infection control, HR, medicines management, safeguarding and financial management — developed directly with a working GP practice, and priced per patient or service user rather than a flat organisation fee.

This table focuses on what each product publishes about itself. It isn't a claim that PracticeFlow is superior in every respect — Practice Index's training library and TeamNet's communication tools are genuinely well regarded — only that PracticeFlow brings a wider set of day-to-day compliance modules into one login, at a price that scales with the size of your patient list rather than a flat fee.
Why practices switch
The gap PracticeFlow was built to close
One login, not three
Safeguarding, quality improvement, medicines management and financial records usually live in whatever system — or spreadsheet — was easiest at the time. PracticeFlow puts them next to the compliance and HR data you already track elsewhere.
Pricing that fits smaller services
Per-patient pricing means a small single-GP practice or a modest home care agency isn't paying the same rate as a ten-site federation.
Shaped by a working practice, not just a spec sheet
Every workflow in PracticeFlow was tried and refined inside an actual GP practice before it shipped, and continues to be improved on real staff feedback.
